Fathers Plus Dad Test Audit
The Dad Test Audit from Fathers Plus gives you a structured, fast and cost effective way of ensuring that your organisation is inclusive of fathers and male carers.
Part of the Including Men in Organisations programme, the Dad test Audit will help you with:
- Auditing present effectiveness in father/male carer inclusion, to understand strengths and barriers within services
- Gaining a realistic, practical and effective development plan to ensure fathers and male carers are engaged in your services.
- Producing documentary evidence to include in statutory reports such as OFSTED.
The new Gender Equality Duty places a statutory obligation on public services to meet the different needs of men and women. The 'Think Fathers' campaign from the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) was prompted by concerns that many local authority children's services need to do more to develop 'Family Inclusive Practice' which engages effectively with fathers and male carers.
As a national service with over ten years experience working with Local Authority Family Services and partner agencies, Fathers Plus is uniquely placed to help your service identify and build on its exisiting strengths and address barriers that exclude fathers from services. Our experienced team can work with all levels of your organisation to support your services through the DCSF 'Dad Test' audit.
The Fathers Plus'Dad Test Audit ' Programme can cost as little as £50 per setting and provides your staff with the skills and resources to audit local settings and provides strategic managers with aggregated data to be used as evidence in statutory reports such as OFSTED.
